Welcome To Jerseys by JAACC
It is my pleasure at this time to finally be able to share my collection of jerseys with fellow collectors.
Growing up in a southern Ontario middle class home there were no shortcomings of hockey battles in my household. I was the black sheep of the family, while friends and family were rooting for the Leafs or worse yet, the dreaded Habs. Growing up a Bruins fan left many to wonder how does an Ontario boy grow up a Bruins fan while most around him are die hard Leaf bleeders. Simple, the Bruins offered what very few could. They were the only ones that were known as “The Big Bad Bruins” , “The Black and Gold” and plain and simple, they were Legends
They were dominant, if not on the board then in the scrums. Being old enough to catch the tail end of Bobby Orr and follow up with the Esposito’s, Cashman’s, O’reilly’s, Neely’s, Bourque’s and many more, was just a plain childhood dream. Growing up playing road hockey we all emulated them and wanted to be that particular player. Although this period was a golden time full of wonderful memories, I would like now to dedicate this to my one true hero growing up. That would be my brother Lou, who lived and fulfilled what many kids only can dream about. That is to play in the NHL. Thank you Lou. I hope to pass these memories of my heros on to my children whom have already started to follow the “Black and Gold”.
